I have no problem with this name. But it's high usage it getting a bit irritating and especially now since it has replaced names like "Computer Sciences" in some areas.

Does anyone else dislike this name or at least the common usage of it?

i don't like the term 'Computer scientist', because it brings to mind a donut fiend who happens to know DOS.

IT is silly.... Information doens't need to be on computer to be technological. I prefer Computer Studies or Digital Information Technology.

So studying the technologies related to the management of information is a silly idea?

Computer science and IT are not interchangeable terms
