What do you do to pass the time when your completely bored. So bored that even thinking about trying to find something to keep you from being bored, seems, well .. boring.

I'm never bored when I'm by myself.

I'm frequently bored around other people.

Spin the beryl cube. At least for now. Or maybe right click, left click, right click, left click etc. Maybe better to get some sleep. :?:

Google strange phrases and the names of people you know.

I have learnt some amazing things this way.

I find reading books off a computer monitor almost impossible, tbh.

Usually when I'm bored, I'll watch a vidcast (DL.TV, Cranky Geeks, Diggnation, InDigital), listen to a podcast (TWiT, Net@Nite), read digg.com or one of several forums, or read some bash.

I do this stuff when I'm not bored, too :D

I can't read online indefinitely, but I can read for a while since I configured Foxit to have an ergonomic pale green background for PDFs. That helps tremendously. I read in bed on my notebook with some hot tea and the cat snuggled up next to me.

A favorite text site: Horrormasters (http://www.horrormasters.com/sub-genre.htm), one of the largest e-text sites on the web, devoted to old horror stories now in public domain.

It includes most of the work of the immortal M. R. James, and that of many, many others -- almost all of it short fiction and relatively quickly knocked off before eye fatigue sets in.

Good reading at bedtime. ;)

There's always something to do on Ubuntu. I can go on the forums, program, play games, download games, listen to music, and play more games ;).

I walk to Caesar's Palace and doze off by the pool. But I only do that when I am in Vegas like I am now.

Play Tremulous and hang around as a dretch all game in out-of-the-way places. Either that or work on my wallwalking, hang about in IRC or here. http://www.bash.org and the BOFH archives (http://members.iinet.com.au/~bofh/index.html) also keep me from flipping out. (Newer stuff at http://www.theregister.co.uk/odds/bofh/)

If you get bored you should check out the Stumble Upon add-on for firefox... When I reach the "end of the web" for the day as i like to call it, I usually browse Linux/Unix and Open Source categories and find TONS of cool and interesting sites. :D

I am soooo looking forward to widespread use of 'electronic paper' which has been banded around for what seems like years now.
