Hi All,

I'm relatively new to Ubuntu and am betting tired of playing Mahjongg and Spider solitaire.

What games do you play? Please state if free or if not, where they can be purchased.

Do you have a 3D video card? Did you install the drivers?

Yup got the drivers installed a couple of days ago, although it took 4 months of on and off trying. :D

I really dig "Gnometris", "Planet Penguin Racer", "Same GNOME", and "freeciv". All of them can be installed through Synaptic Package Manager (you might need to enable universe and/or multiverse repositories first, I can't remember).

I play Tremulous, which is in the repositories, as well as Enemy Territory, which is a free download, and runs natively (just make sure you D/L the Linux client! If the install fails, just apt-get whatever lib it says you're missing). When I get nostalgic, I fire up ZSNES(also in repos, but you have to d/l ROMs from the web) and give F-Zero a go-round.

My niece, nephew and girlfriend are all nuts over PlanetPenguin Racer (in the repos as 'planetpenguin-racer', with extra maps in 'planetpenguin-racer-extras, but invoked as 'ppracer' once installed).
