I always beleived that spam related to linking to or advertising a product or a service that makes money, or relates to business in some way.

I didn't think that talking about a free non-profit chat forum was spam. I think that whoever jailed my post is very petty.

You may remember the thread I took a lot of time on regarding Ubuntu Forum users Blogs ? That links to over 50 blogs, webs and forums, however it didn't get jailed.

This only leads me to believe that somebody has an immature grudge or is being petty and childish over the fact that I spoke about Mod-Free.

I am not requesting that the post is removed from the jail, I don't give a stuff, mod-free is well known as am I and the other members.

I would just like to hear the moderator's reason for jailing my post.

That post was clearly Advertising and considered spam.

It was also I suspect a purposeful attempt to test .

You of all people Mike, for God's sake. I gave a good description of what my sig stands for and where it leads to. Yes I described mod-free, how is that spam? I don't make any money, it's a little free hosted forum where people chat off topic and away from UF. Is it offensive or harmful? Are all the UF members going to jump ship and start piling over to mod-free ? not a chance.

But whatever, I know you've been pointed out by others for going over the top with the moderation, and I have always tried to be diplomatic regarding most of the disputes between mod-free and UF members.

But jailing a post about a non profit personal forum is just wrong, whatsmore you are a member on my forum.

As I said, I'm not bothered, but I won't be posting on UF anymore this place has gone all to pot.
