i wanna setup a wireless network for my laptop and some more remote machines that i cant be bothered laying down cables for, now my setup so far is specific and i didnt do the wireless allready in it.

it is as follows -
adsl wireless/modem eth/usb -- connected to a switch -- connected to a wireless router -- then wirlessly connected to another wireless router -- then to a switch

now i want to add another wireless router to this switch so then i can access wireless network within my home. understand this that the wireless modem is too far away for this sorta thing and the wireless link is set to specific mac addresses and cant be changed or it loses connection

so can anyone recommend a fairly cheap under 100$AUD router with (eth) and a wireless pcmia card for my laptop that works with ubuntu and maybe some usb wireless dongle things for the other computers - all compatible with ubuntu and pretty much simple to set up cause i dont really have idea how to do it

thankyou anyone that can help and gimme a hand

Are you using the wireless like a mesh or more like a node router?

if i buy this http://www.netgear.com/Products/Adapters/GWirelessAdapters/WGE111.aspx and these http://www.netgear.com/Products/Adapters/GWirelessAdapters/WG111.aspx http://www.netgear.com/Products/Adapters/GWirelessAdapters/WG511.aspx

will they work easily together and are the usb and pcmia probaly compatible with ubuntu and as long as i get wirless b/g adapters like a dlink or something would it still work with a setup on the netgear ??

i have no idea

thankyou
