Clean, simple, GDM theme based on Novel Suse GDM theme, but with Ubutnu colours.

Get it here (http://damas.on.neobee.net/teme/GDM-Ubuntu-Desktop.tar.gz)

Nice, I might give it a shot...colors could be merged or a shade closer together but it looks very novell like ;-)

Yeah, I wanted to use only colours from Ubuntu palete, but that yellowish colour sticks out too much. I'll fix it.

That looks a lot better, how about incorporating a color logo? Magnify it in the background or something, then make it less opaque.

Just in screenshot. I don't know how to take screenshot of gdm, so I've used Novel screenshot, and changed it to match mine.

BTW, HiddenWolf, when you say it needs more polish, what do you mean by that?

I must strongly disagree; it is very polished. Download and try it, and you will see. IMHO, this should be the default GDM for Ubuntu. It matches the style and feel of Ubuntu very well.

This GDM is the best for Ubuntu that I have seen so far... my only complaint/critique is that the logo seems off-center a bit (due to the circle/head of person on the left) within the tan box. Otherwise, great work!

I see. You're forgiven then. :) Nice job on this GDM theme.

Try using Xnest.

sudo apt-get install xnest

Then run "Applications -> System Tools -> New Login in a Nested Window". Take a screenshot, crop, whatever. (or if you'd like, `gdmflexiserver --xnest` will do it too.)
