to everyone involved in the development of Ubuntu! I just upgraded (from Warty to Hoary) without the slightest problem! A world premiere on my computer!
I've used Mandrake in the past (and many years of Windows before) and every upgrade broke my system (at least partly my fault no doubt, but still...). Also short diversions into Mepis, Onebase, Suse and others didn't quite satisfy me for different reasons. Ubuntu did it from the start and keeps on doing it!
For someone like me, who isn't really into computers but needs to use one from time to time, and who doesn't like to feed the bloodsuckers, Ubuntu is by far the best choice.
