Import all settings, or some settings, folders, anything, from MS Outlook Express?

Is there a way, or a 3rd party way?
I find the Thunderbird way does not work.
Running Edgy here.

Help plz.

Try Evolution. It should be installed by default.

What specifically did not work when you tried to import things with Thunderbird? I remember it worked for me (though this was at the time of Thunderbird 0.3, I think)

I installed Thunderbird on my Windows XP Home OS, and it imported everything fine from OE.
Now I am on my Ubuntu Edgy OS, and I want to import into Evolution, (or another good workable Gnome mail client).
Evolution looks like it is unable to import settings/folders from Thunderbird.

How can I get all me settings/folders from OE to a good Gnome mail client?

If you've already imported to Thunderbird on Windows, you can just copy C:\Documents and Settings\novista\Application Data\Thunderbird in Windows to /home/novista/.mozilla-thunderbird in Ubuntu.

P.S. Application Data and .mozilla-thunderbird are hidden folders.

To answer your original question, you can't import settings from Windows to Ubuntu directly. You would have to do something like aysiu suggested, and sometimes you may even have to be a little more resourceful.
