need help: tv as display

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to connect my ubuntu box to my hdtv which has vga input but when i do this, i only get 640x480 resolution. the list box has no ther entry. i can get hd resolution when connecting my windows laptop to the same tv, and when connecting my ubuntu to normal monitors. any ideas?

I used the following command from another posting. It asked for resolutions I want and then I restarted (ctrl-alt-bksp) and it was fixed :-)

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
