Story (http://www.damninteresting.com/?p=776#more-776)
Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnDYssFcNxc)

I was only 4 when this happened in 1987 and have never lived in Chicago, so I never knew of it, but just came across it today.

Brief Synopsis;
A guy dressed as Max Headroom (lead character in a TV series that was recently canceled) pirates a news cast and an episode of Dr. Who on two different stations. The first attempt on the news cast was thwarted quickly. The second attempt on Dr. Who went on for about a minute and a half. He babbles some rather incoherent messages and is spanked with a fly-swatter.

I found this to be very interesting and disturbing all at once. It was just a very odd occurance that I don't believe has happened in the U.S. since. The disortion in the sound of the video is spooky.

Anyway, just looking for anyones thoughts on it.

One reply? That's it? I think it's a tad more interesting than that...

YouTube is acting up. Patience, grasshopper.

Edit - HOLY CRAP! That's pretty creepy. I can't imagine what I would do if it popped up during Lost... or even worse... Battlestar Galactica! AHH!

That thing was so weird, I wonder why someone would want to do that. Would've scared me if I saw it.
