According to Jim Gettys, one of the big cheeses over at One Laptop per Child, the team could do with some help translating. Since one of the newest signatories is Rwanda, this means they need Kiswahili localisation From Jim's blog post (http://www.gettysfamily.org/wordpress/?p=28):

With Libya, Nigeria, and Rwanda on board, we minimally have to have support for Arabic, English, Yoruba, Hausa, Kinyarwanda, and probably Kiswahili (Swahili), which is commonly spoken as a second language among > 30 million people in east Africa according to Ethnologue (www.ethnologue.org). Kinyarwanda and Kiswahili appear to be the most challenging at the moment.

...any one here going to offer a helping hand?

Do they have something analogous to rosetta? I managed to talk to a lecturer at our kiswahili dept. sometime last year and he said that he is willing to give it a shot (although that was on ubuntu).
