What to listen to on my hour commute into work? I'm into Linux, Ubuntu, new stuff for it. Just need to get away from talk about the wars overseas.

On next week's UbuntuOS podcast (http://www.ubuntuos.com) (not this weekend's), we'll be doing a special show for new users. Might be a specially good one for you to download!

What about a nice GUI client for managing Podcasts ?
I couldn't find any, but my dad needs one..
The only one who can do the job is CastPodder, but there are a few bugs with it, it isn't available in Debian/Ubuntu, it seems the development is discontinued, and it doesn't have a decent web site / forum / bugzilla about it. But well, it's better than nothing :)

People seems to recommend Amorock or rythymbox, but for me the simpliest way has been install ipodder to subscribe and download (it has a scheduler so you can download o/night), then I use GTK-Pod to transfer them to my Ipod.

Works everythime.8)

I love amarok, but for podcasts its not very good unfortunately. ipodder is ok, I use liferea (rss reader) for all my rss and to subscribe to podcasts. I either just download from the website, or use the wget download link from within liferea itself. No auto downloading in liferea, but if you subscribe to a lot of rss feeds other than podcasts it works well.
