hello,

I have a roblem with ubuntu and windows-2000 server. I would like to connect my ubuntu client via kerberos and active directory with the server. First of all, is that
technically possible?

Maybe with the "Heimdal" plugin ?

Does anybody know a way to solve that problem?

thanks,

hep83

I think samba can do what you are looking for.

http://us1.samba.org/samba/

Hope this helps.

thanks for your help, but smaba is not an option.....

I searched for another solution, but could not find a tutorial. Just the hint,
that it is possible to connect a client with with kerberos with an plugin called
"heimdal-kerberos" or something like that.

And "heimdal" seems to be a available plugin of ubuntu. But I just don't know
how to use it..... My linux knowledge is ... limited
