Run / Execute bar ?

Hi,
is there anyone who knows if a "run" / "execute" bar exists for Gnome ?
(similar as if you would hit "run" in windows - type command - execute).

Would be nice to have directly on the panel and not have to open terminals all the time.

I'm an Xfce user, but I assume if you right click the panel and add an item it would be in the list of plugins provided. (It is in Xfce so I wouldn't see why Gnome wouldn't have it)

Alt+F2 gives you a command entry window. And the Deskbar applet lets you run stuff as well.
