My favorite theme is Surface Depth.

The cool thing about the world clock is it resides on your panel, nice and small, but when you need it you only need to click on it to make it fullscreen and check the time in any city you need thats on the map.

Simple Awesome!

especially if you like maps and don't want to open GoogleEarth.

Post some screenshots of themes and I'll tell you which I like best great Idea!

It's a nice little app. I find time measurement a very interesting topic.

I have mine set to photorealistic surface instead of surface depth.

NO....this is just a nice small and fast little application that lives on your desktop for speedy reference...to check world time.

nothing like GoogleEarth or http://local.live.com/

Ravtux, my KDE World Clock only has two options, surface depth and photo realistic. Not all the ones you listed. Do you have to download and install them?

Also, when I put it on my taskbar (I'm using KDE so you might not be able to help me) is there a way to turn off cities and to change the option to photo realistic when it's on the taskbar?

I use KDE also,...I have taken another screenshot from the KDE World Clock taskbar menu....all option are there and it will change the option you select for your panel image.

BWF89....the theme option came as is by default with Sabayon.

You can't, it's designed for Linux and not windows. Maybe have a look and see if it is available in KDE4 which will eventually be ported to windows.

KDE World Clock is what's called a terminator.

You can view a web site that displays the same information here (http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/uncgi/Earth/action?opt=-p) and one that displays even more information by going here (http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/earthview.php).

Theres a program in the universe section of the Ubuntu repos called Sunclock which does the same thing. Only not minimized on the system tray.

Just in case anyone is interested.

Now here's a dumb question - can I get to display the time (it's a clock, duh!) in the system tray? You can add timezones to the standard clock but you can't display two at once which is really what I want to do... wondered if this applet might be the answer!
