I'm truly sorry that I don't read every word, line, link, discussions in the community forums. I placed this in Desktop Enviroments because that is where I would have looked for this kind of information; not Cafe discussion. Do you treat all people who post something in this manner or is it just me? Not so sure I feel welcome here anymore.

At this point I do not believe I really care either way. Although I try to read some of the beginner talk on a daily basis I do not read all of the forum discussions every day and some not at all. I posted this for those user's like myself who do not spend time in all of the various forum discussions. And as I have often seen in the beginners forum posts are moved if they fall into a different categories and hence, it seemed logical (to me anyway) to post about a desktop environment in the forum section which was labeled desktop environment. My chief complaint was in your reply. I felt that it was somewhat caustic. If I commit an error in a post, please let me know, but if the post is correct in all aspects I don't think any remark are necessary. If I misinterpreted your intent, I stand corrected and please accept my apology.

Your thread from appearance is exactly like the thread taurus linked to -- letting others know about Sun Looking Glass. It was posted in an appropriate forum. However, to combine discussions so that everyone using looking glass can see all the comments about it, the staff has decided to lock your thread and point to the older thread on the same topic.

Please don't take offense to this action. It's not meant as a negative statement to your ability to choose the right forum/category or any kind of punishment.

And this kind of reorganization happens all the time, you are not being singled out.
