why is linux so hard to use compared to wondoze. my old desktop is running fedora core2 .
i can't get limwire, torrent downloaders even firefox is a pain

Its not hard to use. It's just different to use in comparison to Windows. If you've been using Windows for a few years, that's a few years of Windows' way of doing things.

To learn, first you must unlearn. ;)

One problem you have is you are using Fedora Core, which is NOT the easiest distro by any means ... and even worse than that you're using FC 2... linux has gotten much more user friendly over the years, and your version is quite dated...

look at is like this... there was dos, windows 31, 95, 98, xp... same thing with linux... it's evolving, and getting a newer, more user friendly distro could make a world of difference to you... try ubuntu, or even better pclinuxos

then moan at the bugs and total lack of admin tools in ubuntu.
