HOWTO compile SuperTux 0.3.0 (Milestone 1.9) on Ubuntu Edgy (http://diveintomark.org/archives/2006/12/18/supertux-milestone-19)

I haven't tried it (yet) and I am not the author of the HowTo linked above, I just thought others may want to check it out.

notetomods: this is placed in cafe for discussion/chit chat for the most part, rather than a howto section because I didn't write the howto and I'd like to hear about people's experiences with the new version of supertux. It wasn't posted in the games section because the games section is more about q&a. thanks for reading

Nice.. I completed the game plus bous level 1 and 2. Plus a little extra maps at about version 0.1. Haven't played it since. I think I will give this a try.

Nice guide. Thank you. I found some debs as well:

http://debs.peadrop.com/dists/edgy/backports/

They were in the guide linked by the OP. If you put peadrop in your sources.list, you can even install it with apt. :)

Those packages are now included in Feisty (http://packages.ubuntu.com/feisty/games/supertux), but I will keep the backported version for Edgy in my repository.

Isn't SuperTux in the repos? That's where I got it.

It might be now, but when he posted that link, I am pretty sure it wasn't.
