My Ubuntu experience is awesome, I am a satisfied linux user...but I have in my laptop an Intel graphic controller (915 express on a lenovo 3000 c100), so I use an old intel driver (i810), but games don't run...

Is out there any user in my situation (very angry about intel graphic drivers)?

Many users are sorry about linux for the lack of games...
I got the games i like (ET,Quake and Cube) but they don't work...

really frustrating isn't it?

Is your graphics chip capable of running those games?

did you manage to get accelerated 3d working?

what exactly is the problem? is the sound not working, are the games crashing, games running slow, or not running at all?

if you can figure out whats going on, run the game from the terminal and when it crashes or whatever, copy/paste whats in the terminal here, it should include an error message.

It would be useful to know why the games aren't working. Are they crashing? Are they just slow? I also have an Intel 915 running on the i810 driver. I don't play games much on my computer, but I run Beryl all the time and it works perfectly.

beryl runs under i810?

however 3d games like quake3 and et and cube2 don't run at all.
I never managed my 3d settings (i don't know how to do that)
