View Full Version : Starfleet Usplash theme wanted.

Hi I would like to make a usplash theme based around an image like this:

But after trying to follow the guide, it never seems to work and I always end up with a really messed up boot up graphic. (Which may be because I don't know how to change the colours on an image to the required 16 colours).

Well anyway, in any case I am not sure if this image is useful as it is the wrong dimensions - but any similar image will do. I would love it too if the stars around the edge of the image would 'light up' at the boot processed continued too - but of course this isn't required, as just a simple boot screen will do, should this prove impossible.

Can anyone here help me make such a boot screen - also hopefully test it out?

It's a shame that there are currently so few usplash themes to chose from.

Those are grub splash screens... Neat - but not really the same as a Usplash theme.

QUADRANT ONE? are you high? It is called the Alpha Quadrant. Are you thinking of Sector 001?

I mean, sorry to be rude, but geez. I thought we were nerds here . . .:confused:

I have no idea what you are talking about. Which I guess does not qualify me as a nerd. :P

Anyway if you do have a link to such a usplash theme can you please point me to it - or any space based Usplash theme. (It doesn't have to be Star Trek - in face it would probably be better if it wasn't. I am just trying to make a space/science based desktop as an educational aid for my kids.
