Linux has no file manager with both SKIP and SMB:// quick mount ...
konqueror & nautilus can smb://ip but not skip
rox, krusder, gnome-commander cannot smb://IP address quick mount
Let s think about it for our Linux Software developments

If they would just put url translation into the kernel it would solve a lot of problems, being able to use urls in everything you do, regardless of the application with no special code needed to be written for that app.

There is for these tasks only krusader, I guess.
It works but I dont like much krusader.
Total commander is far far far away giving much more possibilities than krusader, but thats M$
I wish we will have more more folks having linux for replacing their M$ for better apps

My conclusion :
Krusader sucks
and midnight commander mc is really amazing !
No crashes
I got it working with mc and with smb
smb share can be "quick" mounted via mc
Damn, In the past, since slack 3, they were really much better than now in programing !!
THis mc has soo much functionalities that are still the same as krusader
there is not much evolution since ... just graphical ... that s all
