PS3 / Ubuntu Friends

Considering the PS3 shortages, most of us here that own a PS3 probably do not have to many friends that do also. I would like to extend an invitation to anyone that has a PS3 to post your Alias here if you would like to add some friends that have some similar interests. Please Post your Alias along with the games that you have that are playable online.

I am not sure if this is the correct place to do this, but I wanted to start a thread that would help the Ubuntu/PS3 enthusiasts to come together not only here, but on the Playstation network. I figured that this may be a good place to find some friends on the PS3 network that probably enjoy some of the same hobbies.

I am very interested in getting Ubuntu to run on my PS3. I have a feeling that if you are reading this, we may have that interest in common. Furthermore, I am interested in playing online PS3 games. I thought that we could use this place to share PS3 Aliases so that we could play games online as well as collaborate on PS3/Ubuntu related progress.

I feel the pain of those of you that were not able to obtain a PS3 yet, but I hope very much that you will have one soon. For those of you that were lucky enough to obtain a unit ... see you online.

I currently have Fedora Core 5 running on my PS3, but I hate RPM based distro's.

I would love to get Kubuntu running on it instead. The Debian package manager is much better.

Yah I am new to the whole Linux thing and am having a hell of a time trying to get Xubuntu on my ps3. I have been reading forums and watching youtube videos for the past couple of days, and so far my biggest problem (so i think) is that i cant seem to find a kboot otheros installer. I was told to get GNU but everytime i go to a mirror to get it, it seems im just opening new browsers constantly without getting anywhere. Im getting really frustrated because i have already deleted all my psn bought games that my gf plays and she is not all too thrilled. lol.

If you could give me any help that would be awsome.

also has anyone tried the new Prince of Persia??
