Hello, appearantly today you guys jailed my thread "My new forum" and appearantly didn't explain myself enough on it.
I am trying to become an Ubuntu Member, to do that, I need to help people, have decent knowlege of Ubuntu and its workings, and, for my own reasons, do something to get respect for an action that ultemately did more "good" than "bad".
1. I help people fix or figure out some solution to problems, as in here on the forums
2. I have posted some howto's on some problems that have arose, like the FrostWire connection issue
3. Am examining programs, and learning new ways to code so I can help the community in that way
and last but not least
4. Provide something that can help the community without the master present (i.e. "My new forum")
It was only made as an alternative to these forums if an answer here couldn't be reached, maybe it could happen there?
I have encountered this problems a number of times and have looked for a solution, when no "good" one could be found, I decided to make my own, and learn something in the proccess.
jdhore is currently helping me with it, and it was basely made to help people, no ads, we pay the licensing ourselves. There was no "cross" or "anit" advertising on our part meant, it was placed for helpful and information purpose, I'm sorry if I gave the wrong impression.
and no, the forums are not open-source, but, in the case of ubuntu-geek, if were paying for it, and it works, be happy.
I'm sorry for the trouble that has been caused.:-#
