I may want to experiment with creating my own gui frontend for some software I've installed on Xubuntu Dapper.
Can anyone advise me where to begin? I'd like to do this without installing a lot of extra software to create and run the program. Someone mentioned writing a program using python scripts and gtk; is that a simple method to adopt? I'm just a beginner; programmed a little in basic once upon a time but I'm sure I can learn some new tricks.
