Nexuiz, Armagetron Advanced and LinCity NG. All of those are in the repositories I believe. Frozen Bubble 2 and gweled are popular with my mom.

Battle for Wesnoth is a very addictive turn-based strategy game in a fantasy world. I would have bought it if it wasn't free.

Freedroid is a very cool classic-style 2D game arcade game where you fight robots in a maze.

Frozen Bubble is excellent.
