many of us enjoyed Word association (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=86033) game. but maybe its time to stop :-k ? it does surely waste bandwidth, and its only use is for bean multiplication.

just a suggestion ;)

Edit:

Nevermind
people care less about bandwidth usage , so i guess, let administrators decide

Spoilsport. :p :D

Bean multiplication only means something if your profile is configured to display them... ;)

Killjoy :p

Bean multiplication is doesnt really mean anything to me, but if is convertible to cash that might mean something.

I use the game to kill time in my boring job.

Besides, it's fun to see how people from around the world interpret the same words differently. One of those cultural thingymabobs. :D

actually , the word association could really qualify for the backyard, i mean it has nothing to do with linux/ubuntu/ open source topics , i always see it, when i click new post. will it ever end?

yabbadabbadont

It probably does belong in the backyard. I guess it will end when the mods decide that it will. (but some of them participate there too, so I wouldn't hold my breath ;))

there are more games that ubuntuforum users can think of , i just thought its time to move on.

How about a Linux/FOSS only word association thread. That would be combo funny and educational.

Agreeable. Let's hear what the mods will say.

That no one can tell.

if it's a bandwidth issue, just dump everything but the current last 3 or 4 pages. otherwise, frankly, who cares?

It's harmless. It's fun. It doesn't touch any religious or political nerves as so many other threads eventually do. Maybe that's why there are 13377 posts (that one was mine). people need a little non-potent release. Let it go.

loell

well, i'll rest my case, if administrators won't care about bandwith issues.

I stopped doing it, because it felt unfair to me to get beans for not helping, at least disable bean count in there, you don't have to end it, just disable the beans (I have experience in VBullettin).

I really think there are more important things to worry about than bandwidth issues. Trust me - they got the servers covered. ;)

Besides, if no one was in the word association thread, then we'd all just be hanging out in another random part of the forums.

it was never a complain, its a suggestion, i believe in helping others , or tackle more relevant issues, than posting endless words. on and on

with this suggestion, i know, that we might never share that same principles.

so, like you said go on now.

i even tolerated you, when you post "red" , signifying the continuation of word association, in this thread.
