I've seen a few stories pointing to this upcoming Vista 3D RSS reader:

http://www.microsoft.com/emea/msdn/thepanel/featured/universs.aspx

It uses DX9 - think there's going to be a Linux-compatible, OpenGL version anytime? I haven't been a HUGE RSS-addict, but I occasionally check out a few feeds I like. I think that if this is convenient (and not a bigger pain than it's worth), it would be a great eye candy addition to Linux! :)

EDIT: Forgot to mention, it's open source. But I doubt that would help speed up anything, would it? :)

Personally, I wouldn't want an application like that. This is coming from someone who isn't interested in Beryl either though...

I'd prefer my RSS the way I get them now, in a nice list in Akregator. I don't want to play a game finding my feeds, or hunt for ones I haven't read yet o.o

All this 3d madness is overkill.

I just don't see how this is more productive than getting the info in 2d. I mean, if I have to swim around looking for the right box to get info from, I would rather go watch a movie with a real plot to kill the same amount of time ;)
