View Full Version : Why is Ubuntu so Brown and Ugly?

The splash are really plain and dull. The colour of Ubuntu is quite dull too. I don't know, on a default install it just looks like the old Sun Solaris machines.

I thought 6.10 was suppose to have "Eye Candy"? guess they never got the memo.

The good thing about the brown theme is that it is distinguishable from other distributions.

You do realise that wether something looks good or not is purely subjective, don't you?

If you don't like the default coulor scheme, then change it :)

I think it screams confidence, stability, and strength.
In other words, I think it's bad a$$ lol.

I am not much of the fan of the color too. Just wounder what color it would be to the color blind? As said before. Each distro has their little color theme going. At least you can change the desk top to your liking. You do not need to settle the desktop theme from Ubie either

hey, I like the brown and earth tones in general.

blue is so yesterday, I suppose you like blue suits and red ties as well?
