View Full Version : Can anyone link me to a vmware image of debian <50mb edition?

Im not sure if this is the right place to ask. Anyway does anyone know a place where I can download a vmware image of the debain <50mb edition. It is the one without any gui, so I thought it would be a good way to learn some commands and the shell in general.

Why not just download the cd image... and install it in a vmware server?

Becuase to create vmware images you need to buy the version for 100$. AFAIK atleast. Can you make vmware images other ways?

Use vmware server, it's free.

You can try the version out (workstation), and I'm pretty sure you can make VM's in vmware server.

For learning purposes, I would recommend using VMware Server (it's free, as everyone has stated) and installing the OS yourself is a good learning experience.
