Compile as static libray (*.so) with Kdevelop

Hi everyone:

I'd like to ask if someone knows how to compile as static library, I mean (.so files) with kdevelop, I come from a windows environment, and I know how to do it with Visual Studio, but I've been trying to do it with kdevelop and I can't find an option or project or something to do it; can someone explain it, please?.
