Dear XYZ and Friends,

Greetings and Good Evening.

It has been brought to my attention by a Friend in the United States who also loves "Classical Music" that there are currently 8 -10 Concerts available as a "Free Download" at Mozart Podd Radio which is part of "Swedish Public Radio" also known as Sveriges Radio.

Check it out. Thye have been encoded as 160 kbps MP3's.

http://www.sr.se/Podradio/xml/p2_mozart_high.xml

P.S. -- Try to download all the concerts as soon as possible as "Swedish Public Radio" is currently streaming all the Compositions of Mozart -- Secular and Religious till the 8th of December 24-7.

After that, it is impossible to tell whether they will keep "Mozart Podd Radio" going or even make available these Concerts as Downloads.

If there is any other site, offering similar downloads or more of them I will post that site too in the near future.

In the meantime, enjoy.

Dear Weatherman,

Greetings and Many Thanks for your message.

When, I downloaded all the concerts -- I never had a problem at this web site of "Swedish Radio".

It opened perfectly for me.

BTW, I am on "Windows XP" and essentially I am not a Computer Person. But, there is no problem accessing this page at all and downloading the mp3's.

Let me know. There is another alternative site of "Mozart Podd Radio" in Sweden but it is also an xml page.

The only pages that I cannot access at all are Pages with RSS Feed on them -- whenever I access them I get a text message from top to bottom.

Here it is, if you want it.

P.S.- If anyone from Sweden or Denmark, knows of any other PodCasts connected with "Classical Music" being made available at any other Radio Station or Pod Radio please alert anyone on this Forum who is interested.

Have a Great Week-End.

Dear XYZ and Friends,

Greetings and Good Morning.

I was sent yet another Link which has many more Concerts of Mozart which were performed at "The Royal Opera House" in Stockholm in the 1940's and 1950's including some Operas in Swedish like Don Juan etc.

Check it out. There are a total of 21 PodCasts at this Pod Radio.

Dear XYZ,

Many Thanks for your message.

I would like to clarify something with regard to this Link -- since it is in Swedish.

When you click on any title, it takes you to the next page, on that page you have to click on the words "Ladda ner" which is Swedish for the word "Download". You will then be able to download the mp3 file.

With regard to Swedish Radio, and specially for those who don't speak swedish it would be a good idea not to download the following items 1-9 as they are Operas of Mozart which are all in Swedish.

Items 10-21 are all the "Mozart Concerts" specifically all the symphonies which were performed in the 1950's or 1940's at the Royal Opera House in Stockholm, Sweden.

Hope this all helps.
