My first thought I confess, was 'Why?', but in the end...very impressive..

yeah there wasnt a logical reason, I was just looking for a good mini-ITX project for my girl, and this shell showed up... the rest was easy :) (By easy I mean expensive, time consuming and ... fricken awesome looking :) )

I can't remember if the article said (reading too quickly, or was it, looking at the pics!) but what was the cost in the end?

Don't know if I posted costs: about $600NZ ($300US ish) and something like 50 hours buildtime mucking about...

I don't know if you can hide reserve prices on ebay, but what you do now, is stick it on ebay, with an insanely high hidden reserve, and see what it's worth! (the old fashioned way as in, what someone would be willing to spring for it!)

Heh could do eh... but what if someone paid the $200k I'd want for it? New Zealand doesn't have enough rich geeks so I'd have to post it internationally..

well then you'd only have to build another 3, and you could buy a new real one!:-k
