Hey I just was the stats and the current users online are around 3000. Does that mean edgy is crap and people fix things or that Ubuntu is getting bigger and bigger?

This is very good. Can I just suggest to the admins to put back the "latest Threads" in the index page of the forums so I can see the latest threads and answer if I can ASAP.

You can do "Search>All New Posts" or "Search>All Unanswered Posts"

I've seen the numbers up around 5000 people viewing the forums recently. I was quite stunned at first and thought it must have been some form of mad invasion of bots. I'm guessing numbers jump hugely when anything from here is Dugg/Slashdotted too.

It's the server hamsters I feel sorry for.

Most users ever online was 4,895, 2 Days Ago at 05:09 PM.

I was wondering what caused the record to be broken (yesterday it was near breaking that record as well).

I would think the forums would be most active when a new version is released (6.06, 6.10) or major technical glitch.

Also, if total users is
Members: 198,018 (I coulda swore it was larger than that at one point? Was there a no post user cleanup?)
and ~150,000 logged in in past 40 days, that is very impressive.

A better approach would be the members online count, and not guests, since it could be a bot or digg/slashdot article.

Is there a stats page with threads created per month, new users per month, replies per month page views per month?

That would be some interesting data. Could make graphs and such with it to show growth.
