My Phone Discussion With Novell

It did not go so well. Spoke to a representative of Novell and addressed concerns over the Microsoft deal.


To put things short, it was a long discussion over the impact this is going to have on people in both positive an negative. More then half of them are negative side effects.

However I did get a confirmation that Novell and Microsoft could cancel the deal at any time.

It's up Novell to wise up and cancel. I addressed more then just the average user, I address the impact on small businesses as well.


It's indeed as bad as it appears. Lets hope for the best. I'll have a full detailed posting of this on TechSonic Network www.techsonic.net when I have the time.

I talked to a Microsoft high-up directly about this issue, and will report as soon as I get the time to get it together as well.

Even if Novell cancelled the deal I don't think it would matter. The damage to their reputation within the Open Source community is done, and they should never be trusted again.

Alias of previously banned users Techsonic/Foxlogic, and reported as such.

For those that dont know, This is ALSO the user that lied in the "Gifting Ubuntu" threads of a few months ago, which led to the digg community exposing the lie.

Lots of subsequent idiotic trolling/posting led to him eventually being banned.

As far as I know, previously banned users returning under a different alias is not permitted in these forums? :-k

We've certainly gotten a lot more biz cred out of Microsoft and Orical that either have gained by making their choices. but Microsoft wants to claw back something and spreads the FUD. the problem is that one of the arrangements could harm Novell because it violates section 7.

I'm saying that Patrick K. first registered under the name Techsonic or Foxlogic. Both accounts where then banned for various reasons, and now he has re-registered with a new account.

Its like you getting banned, and just re-registering to get around your ban.

EDIT: He tried to avoid his ban before by registering under the name "Dark Nations" and that account was banned too. Mods, cant you ban his IP or something? :-k

Nah, its just sad and pathetic imo. His first account was banned, and he left abusing the moderators/admins/other users and declaring that this forum was "run by trolls".
