xine-lib 1.0.1 is out since yesterday. It's already in the Debian main repository. It fixes some security-holes.

Ok... but this one will be hairy, because of the number of packages that are built against the origional xine-lib shipped with Hoary.

We'll wait on this a bit, in the meantime though file a bugzilla ticket with Ubuntu about this -- it is a security issue!

Ubuntu uses Gstreamer as the default sound backend. Unfortunately, I don't think that Ubuntu will release a security update for Xine since it is in the universe repository.
