I cannot seem to find the resolution forum so I'll ask here.

WRT the Save Darfur thread, http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=300646

Why was this thread closed ? Just because people did not agree with Goat Spirit ?

I assume some posts were jailed but we can't see the jailed posts either.

As an African born and raised in Africa I would like to continue this discussion. I by no means agree with Goat Spirit but by locking/closing the thread you don't allow others to express their view and the impression is created that Goat Spirit is right.

I also understand peoples stand that they don't give a continental rats *** about Africas problems, nothing wrong with that.

So please elaborate as to the reasons this thread was closed.

You can see the Jail-it's under Forum Help.

I can't say why it was closed-possibly preemptive strike?

Thanks for the link.

If anything Goat Spirits remarks were uncalled for. Stormy Eyes response was a cynical & dry rebuttal in his usual fashion.

EDIT: I also found the resolution centre. Could this thread please be move to the resolution centre by staff.

The resolution center is under the Forum Feedback link...

I'm guessing PriceChild closed the thread because it had just become an off-topic argument. I'll look into it further...maybe it can be a temporary closing in the hopes the grumps can calm down and we can return to a civilized discussion of the actual issue.

Thanks. I do not see it as off-topic though as people are expressing why they do not support african issues. There are valid reasons behind their opinions imho.

I've reopened it for the time being. When an admin comes online I am fine with them reversing the decision if they see fit. I've posted my reasoning in the thread in question and in greater detail in the staff forum.
