I recently heard of the gaybuntu.com site, their efforts to popularize their group within the ubuntu community, and their attempts to launch a forum subsection of their own (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=300441).

I know that
1. this subsection is to make women feel more comfortable in the Ubuntu Community and the Linux Community at large
2. this subsection doesn't openly associates itself with feminism

but I'm pretty sure there are plenty of feminist checking this forum, involved in ubuntu-women etc so

I was wondering whether ubuntu-women would be interested in joining gaybuntu group in their attempts to establish their own team.

disclaimer: Neither I nor this idea I present here are affiliated with gaybuntu.com
footnote: women's intervention might also influence them to drop their emphasis on gays and give a fair share of area to lesbians as well.
note to self: the parallels between the real life and the virtual life are amazing. aren't feminist lesbians fighting within lgbt communities to get their own side properly recognized? :)
