This is a sound pack I made with my own voice. Some parts of odd sound effects I can make with my lips. NO mixing, no un-natural sounds.

Patrick K's Sound Prefs (http://www.techsonic.net/music/soundprefs.tar.gz)

I encourage everyone else to try and make some too. It's something to do in our spare and very boring time.

ill try it sometime

but on a related note:

i think a good idea is to make a sound themeing program. Similiar to the graphical themes that we all use, you could create tar.gz packages with sounds and you simply drag it onto the window and it installs the package and then you can choose between different packages to choose what sound theme you want to use

and i also am baffled that sounds in ubuntu can only use .wav .... it wont accept ogg!

See it's not really a "Demanded" feature. I'm sure some where in the future someone will make such and application, once our utility needs are met.

I don't know if anything ever came of it, but there was the bango project (http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Bango).
