I received a Gaim encryption package from Mike Basinger a few weeks ago... Let me dig that up and upload it...

Heh, Rufius, great upload ;)

I'll add it to the repo tonight.

Nice! That message that says "the gaim-encryption plugin was compiled with an older version of gaim" was getting on my nerves ;)

Is it just me or did backports all of a sudden explode with requests and uploads?

That's exactly why I posted a request for a newer package. :)

I dont know about you, but right now, I'm seeing the backports repository as the "new marillat for ubuntu"/multipolimanyverse (I know thats not a word...)

I'm just happy that backports exist and allow the user an easy way to get the best packages up to date, and some extras too (like java and w32codecs).. :D

And since marillat is showing some errors with some packages in ubuntu (in my case, mplayer and transcode) since its mainly focused for debian, ubuntu backports is one hell of a good idea :)

Keep Up the god work jdong.

Today, I took matters into my own hands and packaged the backport for gaim-encryption 2.36.

It's in staging as of revision 145.
