Quadruple booting: XP, Vista, Ubuntu (32bit), Ubuntu (64bit)

Ok, I managed to get the four operating systems up and running. I'm not quite sure why - I guess because I can!

Anyways, I am quite new to the linux & ubuntu world. My question is, now what do I do with all of these OS's?:D

If you're like me you'll stick with one most of the time.

Another trick for you, try Vmware and install more OS's *inside* of another OS. Then you don't have to dual boot, run them both (or more) at the same time. Now *that* is useful.....

I have a server that is running an old RedHat with Win2K Terminal Server at the same time. Been running for several years non stop and never a crash or any hint that it is actually a single machine.

Definitely don't think I "need" them! However, it will give me something to do for a while. I guess one of the things I am most curious about is whether there will be a noticable difference between the 32 and 64 bit systems.

Just to save you some time...

VMWare Player is the free and slightly feature limited version of VMWare Workstation.

The main feature that is lacking is the ability to create new Virtual Machines.

Luckily a VM is just a configuration file and an associated virtual hard drive file that starts out blank.

Go on over to http://www.easyvmx.com/. EasyVMX will help you to create the VM configuration file.
