Unfortunetly Swiftfox 1.5.0.8 will not be released! Because JASON the author of SF said that there is little reason to continue development of FF 1.5.x.x since FF 2.0 is born!

I dissagree since lots of extensions and themes are still broken in FF 2.0 and it will probably take at least 2months to get the extensions and themes updated.

So if U feel like me, please add your name to the request ticket here:
http://forums.getswiftfox.com/viewtopic.php?p=332#332

ps. Please tell your reasons for the choice U've made

If you want to, I think you can use an extension called
"Nightly Tester Tools" to force-install most pre-2.0 extensions on Swiftfox 2.0.

Here is the link. (http://users.blueprintit.co.uk/~dave/web/firefox/nightly)

IMHO, I think I must agree with JASON.

I tested out SwiftFox and FireFox side by side and I haven't noticed any difference.

The wikipedia article there : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiftfox
lets believe that the swiftfox performance improvments are very minor.
Also, disabling features, or changing preferences (which can be done in firefox), are likely to have a much greater impact than compiler options.

Just answered no, because I think swiftfox is pointless, so a 2.0 release is already too much :)

Release SF 1.5.0.8? I would have to say no.

And ditto the quoted poster.

I use SF 2.0 with all my extensions in all their mighty glory. ;)

Rather than tying Swiftfox down to 1.5, why don't you encourage the developers of the extensions you use to update their extensions to be compatible with 2.0?

Good point. In my experience, extensions devs are sometimes slow to update what they've created. This is why I use the Nightly Tester Tools extension--works great for me until the devs get there act together.
