Hi all,
I would like to propose the new Wesnoth 9.1 as a backport. Several bugs were fixed and hey - this game rocks :)
I'm not sure if it's already in breezy, but I can be found here:
http://people.debian.org/~isaac/wesnoth

Thanks,
Maxi

I'll second the request for a backport.

Is there a way to use the files in the above link or are those specific to debian? The truth is that I'm completly new at this. Would it be hard to just compile the new version myself?

Ok, I'll package it.

I don't know if this is the place for it, but how would I go about installing those files myself, and also is it dangerous to use those deb files with k/ubuntu?

I've write you a e-mail some days ago. If you can mail me, it would be nice. I can do the support for wesnoth_amd64 in backports if you want

I'm sending you the three packages amd64 specific. Mail me if it doesn't works; I was using the evolution mail server.

Can I just ask what takes so long for packages to be uploaded? Don't misunderstand me - what I mean is that jdong said the package was uploading at 4:00 and it's only about 60 megs so unless he's on dial-up it should be done by now (2.5hrs later). I'm not complaining in the least (I really hope it doesn't come out that way) - rather I'm just trying to understand what's going on.

First of all, I'm on cable, so I have uploads in the 20KB/s range.

In this case, the commit was interrupted due to a dropped connection, so I had to start all over again.

Ah I see. Thanks for the clarification.

Also thanks again for the backport. :)

I can't install wesnoth 0.9.11 from the backports proyects. Apt-get say about incompleted dependecies. I see the data packages aren't in the repositories. Are ther more people with the problem?
