I like the idea of having a widescreen monitor but its not that important. My limit is about $350 Australian.

Note: the bigger the better.

The one Im thinking of getting is the 19" BenQ FP92W WideScreen LCD.

edit: If a mod sees this can they fix up the typo in the title.

Well... I got 3 Hanns-G monitors from PCConnection.com (2*19in, 1*17in)
19in = $130 and some months later when I bought the second one it was $110
17in = $100

They are perfect, only the 17in has ONE dead pixel.

I recommend you guys to check out www.slickdeals.net and www.fatwallet.com

Can't see the typo... maybe someone else fixed it.

I'm loving my Samsung SyncMaster 152v (15")

Reasonably cheap 2 years ago when i bought it and just perfect :) - no dead pixels or anything... not a thing wrong after 2 years :D - touch wood

Could kill for a nice 19" thin-screen though.

I REALLY don't see why people get widescreen monitors... just get a couple of inches more for the same price!

Yeah, I agree.. widescreens even have a smaller surface area then the common 4:3 monitors.

i was also looking at that benq, it looks like a really nice monitor, but i saved some cash and went for the acer al1916w (http://www.acer.com.sg/products/monitoral1916w/p_monitoral1916w.asp) (review (http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=13629)) instead which has similar specs but was quite a bit cheaper, i'm very happy with it

and definitely go widescreen, i'll never go back to 4:3
