Good luck with your project! I have found that there is a boot admin tool for gnome-system-tools but it's 1) disabled by default in ubuntu repos and 2) broken baddly in 1.14 version (which I _had_ to use because requiring gnome at the highest level)

You might want to look at http://grubconf.sourceforge.net/ which has been stoped development but to be honest I don't agree with the developer and it shouldn't have stoped.

I would like to see options for windows boot up and other operating systems supported. more options for multi boots and grpahical splash screens etc.

...grpahical splash screens etc.

Wouldn't that be pretty easy to implement there are commands to change that. What would be really cool is if it could add custom backgrounds and grub backgrounds.

Anyway nice going!

I've wanted this!

You should try to make it official :)

A little suggestion for the future if you plan to work on this any more:
It would be handy if this could create a GRUB boot disk :)

Nice to have a GUI for it now - it makes editing the menu.lst a lot easier I guess.

2 downloads and no bugreporting yet... Either that means:
A: It works rather good
B: It has b0rked their systems so bad that they are unable to get online and complain... :p

if A:
self.MakeNewFeatures() #Try to create some bugs

if B:
self.HideSomewhere()

You know, it is really, really good to make backups.
Yesterday I was playing around with my install script, and it almost took two days worth of coding away with it... :o
