I've had my beloved laptop for more than a year now, so the screen is starting to look a bit filthy. Screen wipes cost too much, what everyday household substance can you safely clean an LCD with?

Damp (not wet) cloth, buff with dry soft cloth :)

Swiffer thing not the wet or the dusting thing one. The regular soft one.

I dust mine with a soft cloth often. When I truly need to clean it I use window cleaner sprayed on the soft cloth. Thats it. Call me crazy, I probably am. ;)

I use half distilled water, half isopropyl alcohol (not ethyl alcohol). Both are about 89 cents for a bottle. Get two microfiber cloths from an optometrist (sometimes they're free as promotional swag) and use one for wet and the other to buff out.

I bought some of this stuff several years back.

The bottle should last me 10+ years at the rate I'm going...I only clean my screen like once or twice a year.
