Hi,

How can I get Ubuntu's Firefox theme to look like Mac OS X's default Firefox 2 theme?

Screen shot of Mac OS X's default Firefox theme

I tried to look on Mozilla's themes and add-ons Website, but I did not find Mac OS X's theme for Firefox 2 on there.

Can anyone else suggest how I can get this theme on Ubuntu?

It may not be possible. Some themes are OS-specific (all the GrApple ones, for example).

Your best bet is iFox.

should be possible
there is a windows port of this theme for win
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3430/
so it should be possible to make one for linux
nice would be to have the style of the osx theme but with ubuntu colour sceme...
I've always wondered why firefox looks good in osx and looks like a piece of crap in any other os...

Call me stupid, but isn't that the theme that comes with Firefox 2.0?

Not on Ubuntu nor Windows. The Mac OS theme for Firefox 2 have more simularities with the new interfaces from Apple. Seen on iTunes 7 and such.

Is the "Mac Favicon (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3692/)" Theme what you are looking for?

I made the mistake of installing that theme without reading the blurb. It's VERY pretty. Unfortunately, it removes the top menus from Firefox. And as such, the only way I could change themes was to install a new one from mozilla, and Use the theme dialog from there.

*edit* I've put it back, and installed the All In One Sidebar plugin. It's a beautiful theme.

iFox or iFox metal might be what you're looking to install

For the disappearing menu's you'd like to check out compact menu - an extension for fx. Puts the menus under a single button..

I've been using iFox Smooth, think it's similar to OSX, and love it. I'd be interested in this too though.... only this...

"NOTE: This theme has only been tested for Mac OS X. Installing v0.1 of this theme on Windows or Linux will cause you problems as the File menu will disappear. Future versions may support Linux and Windows."

How did you guess install it? I don't even see the install button on the page.

Don't see a developer's website link or anything...
