Their selling a new limited edition Firefox t-shirt (in both men and womens styles) at Mozilla Store. Their only $10 also, so their selling them at a loss so more people will buy them. It's for some international Firefox holiday on the 27th (I think is the date). So, is anyone else getting one?

I saw the shirt, but I'm an XXL kind of guy, so I bought the Firefox cap instead.

I'd like to have a hat with the Firefox logo on it but theirs are navy blue and flex-fit instead of being adjustable.

I don't like the Red, or the design. I'm planning to get a black firefox t-shirt soon though - they've finally brought the black one with colour logo back - my birthday's soon - should I wait or sacrifice £10?

Greetings All,

If I'm honest, I had considering purchasing the Navy T-Shirt but due to the lack of funding I decided against it - Incidentally I've written a section about the launch of Mozilla Firefox 2 via my ***. I rather like this design and I'm pleased that Mozilla have made it available, I'm certain many people would like to own one and Spread Firefox further! I gather the proceeds are given to Mozilla?
Does anyone own a Songbird Media Player T-Shirt? I've noticed they're advertising it via their website (http://www.scottainsliesutton.net/weblogcurrent.html/) but I haven't seen nor heard of anyone owning one.

warlorddagaz, yes. You should.

Regards,

Firefox shirts are great to own. I already have the navy blue one and every time I wear it I have someone come up to me in school and ask me about it. Their also good to wear if you need to go to BestBuy to get something. The people there will see your wearing a Firefox shirt and not state obvious things since they assume if your nerdy enough to buy a computer shirt you know your stuff.

A lot of people at school I think don't understand what a web browser is though. They'll say "Firefox sounds cool, but I already use <Insert ISP bundled with internet software>" and I have to explain to them that a web browser works with any internet connection regardless of whether they include their own browsing software. Our school has Firefox (were still using the ancient 1.0.6) installed on most of the Macintosh's. So some people outside of the nerd culture (I don't considered myself a computer nerd for knowing about Firefox but to some people that's like uber leet) will say "hey that's Firefox".

Which one?

That's a good point about looking nerdy, but I pefer the word geek (it seems slightly less harsh). In the UK, we have to wear school uniform, and we only get 1 non-uniform day a year (stupid school), so I wouldn't get much chance to wear it at school. But there are plenty of other places I could wear it.

someone should run a competition to see who can wear their Firefox t-shirt in the most interesting place.

I really want to get a Firefox t-shirt when I get the time to order one. My school's library has version 1.0.2 installed on the computers, while most of the systems in the other rooms still have crappy Netscape (Mozilla Suite or Firefox with AOL fluff, depending on the version).

My school's a Microsoft partnership school - so theres not much hope of getting Firefox/Ubuntu/OpenOffice installed, but I can still try. Maybe I should work on Our technitian - see what he acn do.

or I could just go for blackmail.

It's not that I'm compleatly against using Microsoft products - due to their near monopolistic status though, it's hard to get away from them. What annoys me is that in the three years of IT we did, it was all closed source software - PowerPoint, dreamweaver, Excel, Access - we were never taught about Open Source alternatives - we were never even taught about the Open Source movement.

and there I was, doing the pilot KS3 test on the crappy MS Office replicas used for the exam environment, thinking "Why not just use MS Office?". Of couse it was a good choice by the exam people - it showed that there was at least some sort of thought towards other companies than Microsoft.

I've now got the problem of whether to go for:

The black Firefox t-shirt: I like black t-shirts, but it only has the logo - no text saying "Firefox"
The navy one: Navy goes with my trousers better, and has the text on. However, I'm not a huge fan of navy t-shirts
The charcoal thunderbird t-shirt: I might get this as well as one of the other two, but what actually is charcoal - is it just a black thats got lost on the route to greytown? It's a hard call - what do you guys think?

Mozilla ships fast. Spend $2 on shipping and I got the shirt 5 days after ordering. Me wearing my new shirt (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v399/BWF89/BWF_sitting_down.png)

They were also nice enough to give me some free Mozilla stickers (http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/359/mozillastickerscb7.png) with my order.

When my CDs from shipit came through, I had a load of Ubuntu stickers. I still haven't decided how to use them in a mass marketing promotion though!!!
