I've searched the forums, but nothing's showing up for this.

Mark was interviewed on the World Service's "Digital Planet" program yesterday, where he talked about Ubuntu and the Open Source philosophy in general.

You can get an mp3 of the episode here (http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/rmhttp/downloadtrial/worldservice/digitalplanet/digitalplanet_20061023-1700_40_st.mp3)

I think his angle is very clever - get linux installed on what could potentially be billions of 3rd and 2nd world computers. The consequences are serious for proprietary software vendors like Apple and MS. There are more users in the developing world than in the 1st world - in 20 or 30 years time, there could be a serious shift in end user demographics.

Got to admire the idea :)
