It would be graet if the successor of tuxracer would be in the reprository.
It has some nice GUI configuration and you wont need tuxracer-extras anymore, since it already contains most of them:

Nice. The Debian sources listed on the main page for ppracer work like a champ for Hoary.

how is this different from tux-racer? It LOOKS the same to me. I mean I can tell there are new maps, but everything else looks the same-- I'll most likely try it out soon though, I used to love tuxracer.

I've been playing this game for months by using the deb files they provide.

Tux Racer development stalled a few years ago and PP racer forked it and continues development.

It has better graphics, new options and lots of new tracks.

nice, I didn't even know tuxracer ceased development. Definitely worth looking at.

The last release of tuxracer was in Jan. 2001 so PPracer is picking up where they it left off. Hopefully they replace tuxracer in the main rep. w/ ppracer.

I tried to rebuild this from breezy, but the main app kept giving seg. faults.
I hope you guys can do a better job.
This has many improvemnts over tuxracer such as changing reolutions and windowed mode.
