Hello,

why don't the devs spend a week on Dapper instead starting with Edgy+1.

Would be great if all the updates and features of the softwares would be in the LTS Dapper.

Thanks ;)

Not quite sure what you're asking for.... new software in Dapper?

Dapper has been frozen for release. Only bugfixes and security fixes will be added from now on.

For new features you must use the unofficial backports. - EDIT i should point out this may cause instability.

which can break your system, and the blame is on you if it does (since it was your choice to do it). Edgy is great though, and Feisty Fawn looks promising.

Linux is moving ever forward. Forget the last release, time to go onto the next thing! Damn the Torpedos! Cockledoodledo! Full Steam ahead! What Icebergs?

And all that.

Feisty Fawn is a very aggressive release, even more aggressive than Edgy Eft will ever be.

So I think the approach is the right one.

Yeah that Feisty will be great but I'm not totally happy with Edgy.

The packages are great, but they always say: "Do not productive".

The only thing I want is a stable release with new software :)
And a nice style :KS

If you want stable then 6.06.1 dapper would be the way to go gummibaerchen.

The edgy series starting with 6.10 seem geared for tested ideas, and user's should expect breakage once in a while.

Anyway I have to take what is available.

So I want more new software than stability.

I consider FF 2 and Gaim 2 as stable enough for me :)
